Pimples are usually referred to as acne. Acne can be treated by applying retinoid creams, antibiotic creams, and other creams (e.g. benzoyl peroxide gel, azelaic acid cream). 1. Vitamin A creams: such as adapalene gel, tazarotene gel, vitamin A cream, etc. These medications help dissolve and expel acne, and also improve and prevent hyperpigmentation. Used alone, they can treat mild acne, while moderate to severe acne requires a combination of other medications. 2. Antibiotic ointment: such as erythromycin ointment, clindamycin ointment, etc., which is suitable for acne after bacterial infection and can control inflammation. 3. Other ointments: (1) Benzoyl peroxide gel: it can kill Propionibacterium acnes and achieve the purpose of treating acne. (2) Azelaic acid cream: it has antibacterial activity against Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis, thus achieving the purpose of treating acne. All of the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor to avoid blind use of medication, which may cause discomfort.
