Difference between grass beads and barley

There is no difference between Job’s tears and grass beads, both refer to Job’s tears, only the folk called different.
Job’s tears are Chinese medicine, for the graminaceous plant Coix lacryma dry mature seed kernel. This product has the effect of inducing diuresis and seepage of dampness (promoting the operation of water to dispel dampness), strengthening the spleen and stopping diarrhea, removing paralysis, draining pus, and detoxifying and dispersing knots. It has therapeutic effects on edema, athlete’s foot, diarrhea due to spleen deficiency, carbuncle, and warts (sarcoma on the skin).
The adverse effects of this product are not clear at present. Caution should be taken when using the drug, and pregnant women should be cautious.
Clinically, it is often used in combination with Donggua Pi to treat swelling and urination caused by dampness-heat and spleen deficiency; in combination with Tongcao, it is used to treat urinary incontinence and dullness caused by dampness-heat in the spleen; in combination with Atractylodis Macrocephalae, it is used to treat loose stools caused by dampness-heat and spleen deficiency and body fatigue.
Chinese medicines or proprietary Chinese medicines need to be used under the guidance of a Chinese doctor to identify the symptoms, and individuals should not use them blindly to avoid adverse consequences.
