Bilirubin stasis mainly refers to the fact that bilirubin cannot be excreted normally, resulting in a high level of bilirubin in the blood. When patients have bile duct obstruction, such as gallbladder stones, common bile duct stones, pancreatic cancer, it will lead to bile discharge obstruction, causing bilirubin sludge, direct bilirubin and total bilirubin in the blood are obviously elevated, and patients show symptoms of abdominal pain and jaundice. In addition, bilirubin stasis also occurs when patients develop liver diseases, such as cirrhosis and hepatitis, when the common hepatic duct is compressed and bile discharge is impaired. When patients have bilirubin sludge, they should improve the examination of abdominal ultrasound and abdominal CT as soon as possible to clarify the cause of the lesion and make appropriate treatment, so as to avoid delaying the condition and treatment.
