Pressure pain in the middle of the upper sternal bulge may be caused by soft tissue injury of the chest wall, osteophytes, inflammation of the sternum and so on. 1. Chest wall soft tissue injury: local skin and muscle have chronic injury, thus producing pain. 2. Osteomalacia: the chest is damaged by the outside world, resulting in the phenomenon of local sternum fracture, the fracture end of the formation of bone scabs, long-term accumulation, hyperplasia, in the middle of the upper end of the sternum there is an obvious bulge, and there is obvious pressure pain when pressed. 3. Inflammation of the sternum: usually caused by aseptic inflammation stimulated by ischemic and hypoxic environment, there will be obvious swelling bumps locally and pressure pain.
