What to do about benign kidney tumors in men

Treatment of benign renal tumors in men is mainly surgical. Asymptomatic cases can be followed up regularly without treatment. Common benign tumors of kidney include: malignant tumors, renal vascular smooth muscle lipoma and so on.
1. Renal malformation tumor: malformation tumor less than 4cm can be left untreated; malformation tumor with large size is feasible for enucleation or partial nephrectomy; if the tumor is large, the renal structure is destroyed, and the function is completely lost, nephrectomy can be considered.
2. Renal vascular smooth muscle lipoma: small tumors can be followed up for a long time without treatment; if the tumor is large and tends to grow or accompanied by pain, partial nephrectomy or simple resection of the tumor by selective angiography is feasible; more renal tissues should be preserved as much as possible during the surgery for both sides of renal tumors.
If the diagnosis of tumor is made, regular follow-up review should be conducted to avoid malignant transformation of the tumor.
