With the application of precise treatment represented by IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) in clinic, the treatment effect of nasopharyngeal cancer has become more and more satisfactory, but there are still 19%~56% of patients with local recurrence within 5 years after radiotherapy, which is especially common in advanced nasopharyngeal cancer patients. Generally speaking, the time of recurrence after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal cancer varies from person to person. Most patients have more recurrence within 3 years after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal cancer, and patients are required to go to the hospital for rechecking once every 3 months in the first 3 years, once every half a year in the 4th and 5th years and once every year in the hospital after 5 years in order to avoid causing recurrence. Nasopharyngeal cancer is a very common malignant tumor, the main treatment method is radiotherapy, and after chemotherapy, patients should have regular checkups, such as CT, MRI, nasal endoscopy, etc., to find out whether there is any recurrence and metastasis, so that they can be detected as early as possible and treated in time. Nasopharyngeal cancer patients should have regular checkups, and if there are symptoms, it is recommended to carry out standardized treatment under the guidance of physicians.
