What causes diarrhea with jam-colored stools?

Diarrhea with jam-colored stools may be caused by acute enteritis, amoebic dysentery, intussusception, small bowel tumors and other reasons. 1. Acute enteritis: Acute enteritis will cause damage to the intestinal mucosal tissues leading to bleeding, causing diarrhea, when mixed with intestinal fluids, the stool may become jam-colored. 2. Amebic dysentery: due to the reproduction of amoebic protozoa in the intestinal wall, causing tissue necrosis and bleeding, the necrotic tissue is discharged with the blood along with the stool, which constitutes the jam-colored stool. 3. Intussusception: a section of intestinal tube is inserted into the adjacent intestinal tube, compressing the mesenteric blood vessels, causing ischemia of the small intestine, necrosis of the intestinal mucosa and hemorrhage. It causes diarrhea and jam-colored stools. 4. Small intestinal tumor: the initial symptoms of the tumor are not obvious, but it can appear long-term repeated jam-like stool. If there is diarrhea and jam-like stools, it is recommended to go to the hospital and take appropriate measures under the doctor’s guidance.
