Is the muscle pain above the knee related to the heart?

Muscle pain above the knee has little to do with the heart. Heart disease can involve chest pain, which can be reflected to left shoulder and upper extremity pain. The muscle pain above the knee consider quadriceps strain, arthritis, synovitis, lumbar disc herniation and other causes.
1. Quadriceps strain: Strenuous exercise or excessive walking can cause thigh quadriceps strain, which is aggravated by exertion and alleviated by rest.
2. Knee arthritis: knee joint hyperplasia and degeneration, cartilage wear and tear can cause pain around the knee, knee flexion and extension activities are limited.
3. Knee synovitis: Hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the synovial membrane of the knee joint can cause pain around the knee, swelling of the knee joint and limitation of activities.
4. Lumbar disc herniation: Herniated disc can radiate to lower limb pain and numbness when it compresses the nerves.
The muscle pain above the knee has little to do with the heart and needs to be further examined in the orthopedic department.
