What is an epididymal rhabdomyosarcoma?

Epididymal rhabdomyomas are benign tumors that can be located in the testicular sheaths, epididymis, and prostate in male patients.Epididymal rhabdomyomas are mainly manifested as an epididymal mass, and surgical excision can be considered if they are relatively large. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a benign tumor composed of mature rhabdomyosarcoma cells with clear boundaries, which can be classified into adult, fetal, genital tract and cardiac rhabdomyosarcoma. Genital tract rhabdomyomas can be located in the testicular sheaths, epididymis and prostate in men, and are slow-growing, polypoid or cystic, and can manifest as a mass in the epididymis. Therefore, if a lump appears in the epididymis, relevant examinations need to be done to identify the specific cause of the disease and then give appropriate treatment.
