The desire to sleep on the fifth day after anesthesia may be related to the side effects of anesthesia and the presence of cerebrovascular lesions. Generally, patients under general anesthesia will wake up within half an hour after stopping the administration of anesthetics, and generally do not have consciousness disorder after waking up. However, if the patient still feels like sleeping on the fifth day after the operation, we can consider whether it is related to the side effects of anesthesia. In addition, if the patient himself suffers from cerebrovascular disease, due to the lack of blood and oxygen in the brain, dizziness and drowsiness may also occur, and may also have symptoms such as speech impairment, which need to be ruled out by brain CT or cerebral vascular CT. It should be noted that if the patient has poor sleep before surgery due to anxiety about the surgery, he/she may also experience drowsiness after the surgery, so if he/she still wants to sleep on the 5th day after the surgery, he/she can go to the hospital if necessary.
