How spinal cervical spondylosis surgery is done

Surgery for spinal cord cervical spondylosis mainly adopts open surgery, including anterior approach and posterior approach.
1. Anterior approach: After locating the diseased segment, the anterior approach involves sub-total dissection of the anterior vertebral body, implant fusion with titanium augmentation, and then internal fixation with steel plates.
2. Posterior approach surgery: It is suitable for spondylotic cervical spondylosis caused by ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament or multisegmental lesions, and the surgical method is mainly vertebral canal enlargement and plasty, such as the commonly used single-open door surgery, which means that the vertebral plate is incised on one side, and part of the vertebral plate is cut off on the other side for the axis, so as to expand the inner volume of the vertebral canal, and then fix it with a steel plate.
Although minimally invasive endoscopic surgery is performed for spinal cord-type cervical spondylosis, this procedure is seldom adopted in the clinic in consideration of postoperative recurrence and incompleteness of treatment.
