What does multiple uterine fibroids mean

Multiple uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumors of the female reproductive system. Different types or multiple fibroids can occur in the same uterus at the same time, which generally include three kinds of cases, namely, subplasma fibroids, interstitial fibroids and submucosal fibroids.
If multiple fibroids do not affect menstrual changes and the tumors are not large, they usually do not require special treatment and regular checkups are sufficient. If multiple fibroids cause discomfort, increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual cycle, or even anemia, then timely surgical treatment is needed.
The cause of these fibroids is mostly related to genetic factors or estrogen stimulation, and the exact cause is unknown.
If multiple fibroids are detected, it is recommended to consult a doctor for treatment.
