In pregnant women with low thyroid stimulating hormone with elevated thyroid hormones, it is usually due to hyperthyroidism and requires medication. If a patient has low thyrotropin with abnormally elevated thyroid hormones, hyperthyroidism needs to be considered.Graves’ disease is the most common cause of hyperthyroidism, and treatment usually involves medication, either propylthiouracil or methimazole. If only low thyrotropin is present, without an increase in thyroid hormones, and there are no other comorbid symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. In pregnant women with low thyrotropin, it is recommended to improve the relevant examinations, and based on a clear diagnosis, appropriate treatment will be carried out.
