The main mechanism is that, because the portal venous system and its branches of the rectal veins have no venous valves; the upper and lower rectal venous plexuses are thin-walled, shallow, and located in the lowest position of the abdominopelvic cavity, and the terminal rectal submucosal tissues are flaccid, so when encountering frequent consumption of alcohol or spicy and irritating foods, prolonged sedentarism, sedentarism, huge tumors in the pelvis, poor defecation habits, malnutrition, and perianal infections, etc., they are susceptible to blood stagnation and venous dilatation.
