Can Kidney Deficiency Cause Joints to Pop?

According to Chinese medicine, the kidneys are responsible for the production of bone and marrow (meaning that the kidneys control the production of bone marrow, which affects the growth and development of the bones), and a deficiency of the kidneys may lead to popping of the joints. According to TCM theory, the growth and development of bones are closely related to the moistening of kidney essence. In patients with kidney deficiency, the moisturizing function of kidney essence and the warming function of kidney yang are relatively weakened, thus affecting the growth and development of bones, leading to unfavorable movement of limb joints, and further triggering the production of joint popping. Therefore, kidney deficiency can lead to joint popping. Patients with joint popping problems are advised to go to regular hospitals for consultation and treatment under the guidance of professional physicians, and not to take medication on their own in order to avoid delaying their condition.
