Can normal platelets be leukemia?

It is possible to have leukemia with normal platelets, and routine blood results are not a diagnostic criterion for leukemia. Platelets may also be leukemia when they are normal, and platelets in the blood routine of leukemia patients may show different trends such as rising, normal, and falling, all of which can occur. For example, platelets in patients with acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia are usually normal or present in a lower state. Platelets can also be normal in patients with early leukemia, and as the disease progresses platelets can show a decrease in platelet production, or platelet lowering. When platelets are normal and other symptoms appear, detailed examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis. If leukemia is diagnosed, it is recommended that standardized treatment be carried out as soon as possible under the guidance of a physician in order to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
