Infantile uterus is a uterus with normal structure and morphology, but with a small child size and a relatively long cervix, also known as uterine dysplasia. Most adult women with an infantile uterus have ovarian dysplasia, which can lead to irregular menstruation, lack of menstruation, and infertility. The normal adult female uterus is 5.5-7.5 cm in length, 3.0-4.0 cm in anterior-posterior diameter, 4.5-5.5 cm in transverse diameter, and 2.5-3.0 cm in cervical length. The size of the uterus of women with infantile uterus is far from normal, especially the child type of infantile uterus which is only 1-2 cm in volume. This child type infantile uterus can appear in women with primary infertility and is mostly caused by congenital factors, so there is no special medicine that can cure it. For adolescent infantile uterus, it is still possible to return to normal if early intervention with medication is detected in time, but if it is detected late, the treatment effect is poor. Women who are 16 years old and have not yet had their first menstrual period should pay special attention to the need to go to the hospital for an ultrasound examination of the uterine appendages in a timely manner, and if the phenomenon of an infantile uterus is found, medication should be used to intervene as soon as possible.
