What’s the solution to diarrhea?

Diarrhea can be caused by cold, poor diet, irritable bowel, ulcerative colitis, etc. It can be treated by keeping the abdomen warm and taking medication.

If the diarrhea is caused by a cold or poor diet, only antidiarrheal medication, such as montelukast, is needed.

If the diarrhea is caused by a viral infection, it can be cured on its own if the symptoms are mild, but in severe cases, antiviral drugs such as ribavirin and oseltamivir are needed, and antibiotics such as gentamicin and amoxicillin can be used as prescribed by the doctor.

Diarrhea caused by irritable bowel disease can be improved by taking antidiarrheal drugs, such as loperamide or diphenoxylate, which is more suitable for people with severe diarrhea symptoms and is not recommended to be taken for a long time. If the disease is mild, it can be treated with Montelukast.

If the diarrhea is caused by ulcerative colitis, it can be treated with drugs such as olsalazine, salazosulfapyridine, prednisone, methylprednisolone and so on when the disease is mild. If the disease continues to worsen and the effect of medication is not particularly satisfactory, surgical treatment can be adopted.

There are many other reasons that can cause diarrhea. If the symptoms persist, it is recommended to consult a doctor for a clear diagnosis and standardized treatment. The use of drugs must follow the doctor’s instructions, not blindly use their own drugs, so as not to cause adverse consequences.
