Cure rate of early resection of gallbladder cancer

Clinically, the cure rate of cancer generally depends on the 5-year survival rate. Usually, the 5-year survival rate of gallbladder cancer is higher than 60%-80% after standardized surgical treatment in the early stage. For early-stage carcinoma in situ or stage IA gallbladder cancer, the 5-year survival rate can even reach 100% with surgical treatment. Early stage gallbladder cancer usually only invades the mucosa and lamina propria of gallbladder and does not exceed the basement membrane, there is no extrahepatic lymph node metastasis, these patients usually have no obvious discomfort symptoms and it is more difficult to detect the lesion. Better results can be achieved through surgery, and the 5-year survival rate after surgery is high. Patients with gallbladder cancer after stage IB may have extrahepatic metastasis, and surgery requires partial resection of liver or extrahepatic lymph node dissection, so their prognosis depends on the thoroughness of surgery, biological characteristics of tumor and different treatment methods adopted after surgery. Clinically, once gallbladder cancer is detected, it is often in the middle to late stage. The prognosis and survival of gallbladder cancer itself are poor, so many patients have poor treatment results, so gallbladder cancer is important to early diagnosis and early treatment, and we should pay attention to physical examination of gallbladder.
