Is choriocapillary tubular adenoma of the colon serious?

Colonic villous tubular adenomas are adenomas with both histologic structures, i.e., mixed adenomas. Although it is not serious, it has a large cancer rate and should be taken seriously, and can often be treated clinically by surgery with good results. According to the heterogeneity of cells, they are classified as low-grade choriocapillary adenomas and high-grade choriocapillary adenomas. 1. Low-grade choriocapillary adenoma: it means that the cells of the glandular epithelium are mildly to moderately heterogeneous, and the lesion is not very serious, so it can be treated with medication or excision of the mass, and the result is very good, and attention should be paid to the regular rechecking in order to prevent the recurrence of the tumor. 2. High-grade choriocapillary tubular adenoma: it refers to the glandular epithelial cells accompanied by severe atypical hyperplasia, and it is very easy to become cancerous if it is not treated effectively and positively. High-grade tubular adenoma belongs to pre-cancerous lesions, with intact basement membrane and no infiltration into the interstitium. Therefore, the prognosis is very good if the mass is removed and completely cut off by surgery, and regular postoperative checkups are necessary to prevent recurrence and cancer. Therefore, when the diagnosis of colonic villous tubular adenoma is made, the patient should actively seek medical treatment.
