What to do if a child has a fishbone stuck in his throat

When a child gets a fishbone stuck in the throat, parents should avoid taking arbitrary measures, such as letting the child eat, drink water or vinegar, and should take the child to the hospital for professional treatment in a timely manner.
If the location of the fishbone is superficial, the doctor can use a tongue depressor to press down on the tongue and then gently remove it with tweezers.
If the location of the fishbone is deeper, the fishbone can be removed by indirect laryngoscope when the child can cooperate well; if not, it can be removed under local anesthesia with fiberoptic laryngoscope, which can reduce the discomfort of the child.
After the fishbone is removed, avoid letting the child eat spicy and stimulating food, and be more careful when the child eats fish afterwards.
