Testicular enlargement after syringomyelia surgery may be due to edema, bleeding, or torsion of the testis, etc.
1. Testicular syringomyelia can be encountered during surgery when the tissues are adherent, and localized edema of the tissues will be caused when peeling off the excess syringomyelia, if the adherence is more serious, the postoperative edema will be more serious.
2. If hemostasis is not complete during surgery, resulting in persistent bleeding after surgery, it can lead to local hematoma and increase in size.
3. During syringomyelia surgery, the syringomyelia is usually turned over. If the testicle is filled back into the scrotum in the wrong direction, it will lead to testicular torsion and ischemia and edema of local tissues of the testicle, which should be operated again urgently in order to avoid necrosis of the testicle.
There are many reasons for testicular enlargement after syringomyelia surgery, and timely diagnosis and treatment is recommended.
