Compound Danshen Tablet belongs to one kind of proprietary Chinese medicines, because this medicine has the effects of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis (promoting blood circulation and eliminating blood stasis in the body), regulating qi and relieving pain (relieving pain by unblocking qi) in clinic, so it mainly targets at diseases caused by stagnation of qi and blood stasis (stagnation of blood due to lack of circulation of qi), for example, chest paralysis (i.e. angina pectoris) which is characterized by tightness of the chest, shortness of breath, palpitation, and purple darkness of the tongue, and so on. And Diltiazem Hydrochloride Tablets can also be used to treat angina pectoris in clinic, so if it is angina pectoris and it belongs to the evidence of qi stagnation and blood stasis, you can use the two medicines together, as long as they are taken half an hour apart. However, side effects such as swelling, headache, nausea, dizziness and rash may occur after taking Diltiazem Hydrochloride Tablets, and the use of the drug is strictly prohibited in sick sinus node syndrome without a pacemaker and congestive heart failure.
