Weeks of pregnancy when labor begins

In clinical practice, most women give birth between 37 and 40 weeks of pregnancy. Due to various reasons such as the mother’s physical condition, nutritional status, and the development of the fetus, the date of delivery may be earlier or later.
At 37 weeks of pregnancy, the fetus is in full term and meets the conditions for labor, so labor may occur at any time between 37 and 40 weeks of pregnancy.
Some women may go into labor before 37 weeks of pregnancy, which is usually due to a variety of factors such as early maturation of the fetus, or stimulation. Some women may go into labor after 40 weeks of pregnancy, usually due to an imbalance in the ratio of estrogen to progesterone and weaker stimulation of contractions.
In the clinic, mothers should pay attention to the frequency of fetal movement and contractions when approaching the date of delivery, and be prepared to seek medical attention.
