Conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy is mainly applicable to patients with early tubal pregnancy or without internal bleeding, poor embryonic activity and the requirement of fertility preservation. Conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy mainly includes pharmacological conservative treatment and surgical conservative treatment: 1. Pharmacological conservative treatment: it is suitable for patients with blood HCG less than 2000 IU/L, ectopic pregnancy mass less than 4cm as indicated by ultrasound, tubal pregnancy without rupture, no obvious internal bleeding and no contraindications to pharmacological treatment. During the course of conservative drug treatment, the change of blood HCG should also be measured regularly. If the blood HCG is decreasing, it proves that the conservative treatment is effective. If the blood HCG data drops to normal and the mass gradually shrinks, it basically proves that the drug conservative treatment is successful. If the effect is not obvious after medication, subsequent surgical treatment is required. 2. Surgical conservative treatment: It is suitable for people with contraindications to medication, those with unreliable conservative medication, those with progressive ectopic pregnancy and those with signs of intra-abdominal bleeding, etc. The main purpose is to perform local excision or incision to retrieve embryos in order to preserve the fallopian tubes.
