How to confirm the diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma lung metastasis

After taking biopsies from the nasopharynx through electronic nasopharyngoscopy and pathological confirmation of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, it needs to be reviewed regularly after regular treatment. If there is no clear nodule or occupancy on the chest CT, but a lung nodule appears in the review, we need to consider whether there is lung metastasis of nasopharyngeal cancer in combination with its medical history. Lung metastasis needs to be further differentiated from primary lung cancer, because clinically, lung cancer also occurs more often in peripheral locations, and all tumors with lung metastasis also appear more often on CT in peripheral lung locations. Therefore, if the location is suitable, it is suggested that the patient should undergo CT-guided lung puncture to further clarify whether it is the same pathological type as the original nasopharyngeal lesion.
