Does a hair transplant involve taking your own hair?

Currently hair transplants involve taking your own hair, i.e. autologous hair transplantation. Hair transplantation is actually transplanting hair follicles, which grow hair in the right physiological environment.
Since hair follicles are part of the human organism like heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, etc., autologous hair follicle transplantation is more convenient, with less rejection and adverse reactions; while using other people’s hair follicles for transplantation hair transplantation, the body will produce obvious rejection phenomenon, resulting in hair follicles being attacked by the immune system, and in serious cases, it will cause hair follicle necrosis, which will be detrimental to the growth of hairs.
Therefore, at present, the hair transplant program carried out by regular hospitals are mostly autologous hair transplantation, which has small rejection reaction and less damage to the body.
It is recommended that patients go to regular hospitals and under the guidance of professional doctors for hair transplantation.
