What causes pulmonary edema?



The causes of pulmonary edema symptoms can be categorized as cardiogenic, pulmonary, neurogenic, infectious, and medical, etc. Pulmonary edema requires prompt medical attention.

1. Cardiogenic pulmonary edema: mainly due to mitral stenosis, acute heart failure, hypertension, cardiomyopathy.

3. Infectious pulmonary edema: mainly due to Streptococcus pneumoniae pneumonia, lung abscess and other causes.

4. Medically induced pulmonary edema: mainly due to pleural effusion after massive aspiration, rapid expulsion of thoracic gas and other reasons.

5. Poisoning and drug pulmonary edema: including phenytoin sodium, phenobarbital, morphine and other drugs, as well as organophosphorus pesticides and other poisons caused by poisoning.
