Tomography is a technique of spiral tomotherapy, which is a more advanced radiotherapy technique. However, how many treatments need to be done by Tomknife is decided according to the patient’s condition, and cannot be generalized.
Tomography may have some positive therapeutic effects on some relatively advanced tumors, such as brain cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer and other diseases. Once these diseases are diagnosed, professional radiotherapists will decide the treatment plan according to the degree of the disease. A review is done after going through several radiation treatments to assess the progress of the disease.
If the disease is cured, then no more is needed. If there is remission, it may still need to be done and if it is ineffective it will need to be changed to another treatment plan.
It is recommended that the disease must be evaluated by a professional radiotherapist before preparing for Tomography treatment, and then a reasonable treatment plan can be formulated.
