Ear piercing is generally painless, and due to the fast operation during ear piercing, the pain generated is only momentary and generally tolerable. However, it is often found in daily work that there are many problems after ear piercing, the most common being localized infection, scar proliferation, and granulation growth. Infection can be manifested as redness, swelling and pain at the earhole, which may be pus-filled. Treatment involves removal of the earring, local iodine-vapor application, and oral antibiotics such as cefprozil. For the scar hyperplasia caused by the scar, need to remove the scar again, can be local radiotherapy, reduce the formation of scar. For the granulation hyperplasia after ear piercing, the granulation needs to be removed again, and still need to give antibiotic treatment, such as cefoxitin, etc. Therefore, the concept of asepsis needs to be strengthened when piercing the ear piercing.
