The difference between Astragalus and Astragalus is that the sources are different. Astragalus is the dried root of Astragalus multiflorus, a leguminous plant; Astragalus is the root of Astragalus mongoliae or Astragalus membranaceus, a leguminous plant. Its efficacy and function are basically the same, both have the effect of tonifying qi and raising yang (tonifying qi in order to raise yang qi), fixing the surface and stopping sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the surface of the muscle), and inducing diuresis and eliminating edema (facilitating the flow of urine and eliminating water retention), and so on.
Red Astragalus and Astragalus are mainly used in clinic for Qi deficiency and fatigue, loose stools (thin and unformed feces), Qi subsidence (deficiency of spleen and stomach qi, with the appearance of internal organs falling down), prolonged ejaculation and prolapse of the anus, blood in the stools and leakage of blood (menstrual bleeding in excessive amount or more than a drip), sweating from the surface (due to the weakness of the surface of the muscles and frequent sweating naturally), qi deficiency and edema, and internal heat and thirst (fever accompanied by symptoms of overeating, drinking and urinating), and so on.
It should be noted that those with yin deficiency and hyperactivity (deficiency of yin fluid and hyperactivity of yang qi), thick and greasy tongue, and sores at the beginning of ulcers should not take it alone, and it is recommended to take it under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner.
