Self-at-home nucleic acid testing at the current time mainly refers to the new crown nucleic acid testing, self-testing generally refers to the use of the new crown antigen test kits to detect the steps of pre-test preparation, sampling, testing, and medical waste disposal. 1. Pre-test preparation: Wash your hands with the seven-step cleansing method, open the new crown antigen test kit, check whether the kit tools are complete, and then open the seal of the sample extraction tube, the extraction fluid into the extraction tube, and then placed in the tube rack. Blow your nose with clean toilet paper before sampling. 2. Sampling: Unwrap the disposable sampling swab, keep your hand away from the head of the swab, with the tester’s head slightly raised, gently place the swab into the nostril for about 1cm to 1.5cm, then rotate the swab for 5 times, and do the same for the other nostril. Put the taken swab into the extraction tube and rotate it for more than 30 seconds, and then squeeze it on the wall of the tube for more than 5 times, so as to ensure that the sample is fully dissolved in the liquid inside the extraction tube, take out the sampling swab, and then put on the cap. 3. Detection: Detect as soon as possible within 1 hour, drop the liquid in the extraction tube into the reagent plate spiking hole, about 5 drops, wait for about 15 minutes and then read the results. 4. Medical Waste Disposal: After the results are read, place the nucleic acid testing kit into a sealed bag and dispose of it at the medical waste disposal. A red or purple band at C and T is considered positive, a single band (red or purple band at C, no band at T) is considered negative, and no band is considered invalid.
