Symptoms of Stomach Fire

According to Chinese medicine, stomach fire refers to the evidence of stomach heat, including stomach solid fire and stomach deficiency fire. Stomach solid fire refers to the evidence of blazing stomach heat, and the clinical symptoms mainly include swollen and painful gums, bad breath, constipation, easy to be hungry and so on. Stomach deficiency fire refers to the evidence of stomach yin deficiency, clinical symptoms mainly include noisy, hunger, red tongue with little moss and thin pulse. Stomach heat syndrome is mostly related to factors such as evil heat offending the stomach, uncontrolled diet, and emotional disorders (unruly emotions). Patients with solid stomach fire mainly show increased food intake, easy hunger, pain or burning sensation in the stomach, thirst, bad breath, swollen and painful gums, constipation, red tongue with yellow coating, and number and strong pulse. Patients with Stomach Deficiency Fire are mainly characterized by stomach discomfort, feeling of hunger but not wanting to eat, abdominal distension after eating, dry mouth, dry stools, red tongue with little moss, and fine pulse (pulse becomes narrower and finer and the rate is accelerated). If the patient has gastric heat syndrome, it is recommended to consume vegetables and fruits and light food, and avoid spicy, greasy and irritating food.
