Entecavir tablets are an antiviral drug commonly used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. Side effects include headache, fatigue, dizziness, and nausea.
Entecavir Tablet is a guanine nucleoside analog, which has an inhibitory effect on hepatitis B virus polymerase, and can inhibit the replication of hepatitis B virus, so as to achieve the effect of anti-hepatitis B virus. Entecavir tablets should be used in the active stage of chronic hepatitis B. The indications are patients with chronic hepatitis B who have active viral replication, persistent elevation of serum alanine aminotransferase, or histology of the liver showing active lesions.
The most common adverse reactions to entecavir tablets are neurologic manifestations such as headache, fatigue, and vertigo, and gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, and vomiting. In addition, side effects such as alopecia, rash, anaphylactoid reactions, and acidosis are rare with entecavir tablets.
It is important to note that entecavir is contraindicated in people who are allergic to entecavir or any of the ingredients in the preparation. Entecavir tablets are prescription medications and need to be taken under a doctor’s supervision to avoid self-medication.
