Nasal congestion in children is a manifestation of nasal congestion, which may be caused by deviated nasal septum, adenoid hypertrophy, upper respiratory tract infections and other diseases. 1. Deviated septum: The main cause of this disease is the uneven development of the cartilage of the nasal septum, forming deformity or deviation. Secondly, it is also related to nasal trauma, heredity, sinus tumor and other reasons. Common symptoms include nasal congestion, headache, nosebleed and so on. 2. Adenoid hypertrophy: the occurrence of this disease is related to the recurrence of acute and chronic nasopharyngitis, which stimulates the proliferation of adenoid tissue. The children will have symptoms such as nasal congestion, occlusive nasal sound, ear stuffiness, earache, paroxysmal cough and so on. 3. Upper respiratory tract infection: this disease is mainly caused by rhinovirus, parainfluenza virus, adenovirus and other pathogens, and a few of them are caused by hemolytic streptococcus, Haemophilus influenzae and other bacteria. Common predisposing factors include immunocompromise and vitamin deficiencies. In the early stages of the disease, children may experience nasal congestion, runny nose and dry throat. In addition to this, nasal polyps, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis and other causes of nasal congestion need to be considered. When a child’s nose is stuffy, he or she needs to go to the hospital for a complete examination to find out the cause of the problem.
