It can treat the syndrome of Liver-Qi stagnation (the Qi of the liver is not flowing smoothly), which is characterized by pain in the ribs and wounds, chest tightness and tai shi, depression or irritability, distention and fullness in the epigastrium (abdomen), and stringy pulse. This formula is aromatic, pungent and dry, and should not be decocted for a long time; it is easy to deplete qi and injure yin, and should not be taken for a long time, and should be used with caution in pregnant women.
