In case of high blood pressure in the entry medical examination, it is recommended that multiple measurements should be taken to avoid misdiagnosis due to an occasional error. A high blood pressure at the entry-level physical examination cannot be diagnosed as hypertension. Diagnosis of hypertension requires multiple blood pressure measurements, three measurements on a different day, systolic blood pressure ≥140mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥90mmHg. If the blood pressure is still high after multiple measurements during the physical examination, it is recommended to consult a doctor for immediate examination, and to determine whether the blood pressure is high, and to clarify the hypertension grading as well as the presence or absence of risk factors. The first step is to reduce sodium intake in lifestyle, quit smoking, limit alcohol, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and exercise more. Secondly, medication can be used, nifedipine extended-release tablets can be used, the specific medication should follow the doctor’s instructions. If the blood pressure is not well controlled, it is recommended to exclude secondary hypertension. If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to actively seek medical examination.
