Thrombocytopenia is a pathological manifestation of abnormalities in the blood system caused by various reasons, and it is not a specific disease in itself; therefore, thrombocytopenia alone does not cause reoccurrence. Thrombocytopenia is mostly secondary to various other diseases, and among the various causes of thrombocytopenia include aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, hepatitis, and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. 1. Aplastic anemia: it can be manifested as a significant decrease in neutrophils, hemoglobin and platelet indexes. 2. Myelodysplastic syndrome: this disease is characterized by a possible reduction of all three lineages in the peripheral blood with obvious pathological hematopoiesis. Since the efficacy of various methods of treatment for this disease is not satisfactory, many patients still end up with reocclusion. 3. Infectious thrombocytopenia caused by hepatitis virus infection: the mechanism of its occurrence is not fully understood, but some patients have reocclusion after recovery from hepatitis. It may be related to viral damage to bone marrow hematopoietic stem cells. 4. Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura: a few patients with ITP have the possibility of transforming into reocclusion or transforming into MDS and developing leukemia. Therefore, for patients with thrombocytopenia, the most important thing is to find out the cause of thrombocytopenia, and on this basis, under the guidance of physicians for active treatment.
