Pulmonary fibrous bands are an imaging concept and usually do not require specific treatment, but if symptoms are present, symptomatic treatment is needed. Pulmonary fibrous streaks usually represent old lesions in the lungs, such as tuberculosis, lung abscess, pneumonia, bronchiectasis, etc., which may leave fibrous streaks in the lungs after recovery, therefore, pulmonary fibrous streaks normally do not show symptoms, and asymptomatic patients do not need treatment. In simple pulmonary fibrous streaks, there is usually no chest pain, dyspnea, or exudation, so regular follow-up is all that is needed. If the fibrous streaks become symptomatic, treatment, such as anti-tuberculosis and anti-infection medications, will be needed depending on the symptoms. In most cases, no treatment is needed, and patients are advised to follow up regularly, but if they experience significant discomfort, they should consult a doctor and take standardized treatment according to the doctor’s instructions.
