Patients with grade 2 thyroid nodules with normal thyroid function are usually recommended to be reviewed once every 6 to 12 months. According to the TI-RADS classification of thyroid nodules, grade 2 thyroid nodules are benign, with a 0% risk of malignancy, and ultrasound shows solid nodules with clear borders and regular morphology; therefore, patients with benign and normal thyroid function are usually recommended to be rechecked once every 6 to 12 months. For patients with grade 2 thyroid nodules accompanied by hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, it is recommended that they take medications such as methimazole and levothyroxine sodium tablets as prescribed by the doctor, and then choose the interval of review according to the changes in the level of thyroid hormones. Patients diagnosed with grade 2 thyroid nodules should undergo regular checkups and are advised to choose the exact time of review according to the doctor’s prescription.
