What is the normal anterior and posterior cervical diameter?

The cervix is cylindrical and its anterior and posterior diameters are normal between 3 and 4 cm. If it exceeds 4 cm, it may be an enlarged cervix or an enlarged cervix caused by a fibroid in the cervix. The reason why the cervix is hypertrophic is mainly due to chronic inflammation that leads to tissue hyperplasia and therefore hypertrophy. If there are localized fibroids in the cervix, they often lead to local enlargement and may also lead to increased menstrual flow in clinical practice. It is recommended that women should have an annual gynecological examination and be screened for cervical cancer to find out whether the cervix is locally enlarged, and whether there is hyperplasia, redness or swelling.
