Whether lower middle esophageal cancer is serious or not depends on the stage, treatment means and general condition of the patient, and it is recommended to carry out radiotherapy as well as surgery under doctor’s guidance. The severity of esophageal cancer is usually related to the location, size, pathological type and metastasis of the tumor. The treatment of esophageal cancer is a comprehensive treatment with surgery as the mainstay and radiotherapy as the supplementary treatment, and it is usually in the middle or late stage of esophageal cancer at the time of consultation. Surgical treatment: generally the resection rate of middle and lower esophagus is higher, while tumors in middle and upper esophagus are often difficult to be radically resected. For the middle and lower segments, it is possible to choose right and left thoracic, chest, abdomen and neck combined surgical treatments. Radiation therapy: preoperative and postoperative radiation and surgical integrated treatment is used to reduce tumor metastasis and recurrence. Chemotherapy: single-agent chemotherapy is not ideal, and the remission rate of cisplatin + 5-fluorouracil is higher in combination chemotherapy. Patients are advised to undergo standardized treatment under the guidance of professional doctors to control the disease and prolong the life cycle.
