How to treat a subscapularis injury

In clinical practice, the subscapularis is a part of the rotator cuff. Therefore, a patient can be diagnosed with a rotator cuff injury after a subscapularis injury occurs, and different treatment methods should be chosen according to the degree of injury to the subscapularis. If the patient has a partial injury to the subscapularis muscle, feels local pain, and has limited active movement of the shoulder joint, but passive movement is still possible, conservative treatment can be taken. First of all, we need to apply an ointment to the injured area to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and we can give a brace to fix the shoulder joint. At the same time, local infrared therapy, microwave therapy and bioelectric therapy can be used to promote the recovery of the injured subscapularis muscle as soon as possible. If the subscapularis muscle fibers are mostly or completely broken, surgical treatment can be considered, such as incision and subscapularis repair. Postoperative shoulder braking and oral bruxism medication are also required.
