It is not true that bladder cancer recurs 100% of the time. Although the overall recurrence rate of bladder cancer is high, it does not necessarily mean that it will recur 100%. The recurrence rate of bladder cancer is related to various factors such as tumor pathological grading, whether it is multiple or not, clinical staging, treatment plan, individual’s physical condition, treatment compliance, etc. Generally speaking, those with single tumor, lower staging and grading can be completely cured and will not recur if the tumor can be removed by surgery. For those with higher stage and grading, due to the spreading and growth of bladder cancer, the scope of infringement on the surrounding tissues is larger, and even distant metastasis may occur, in which case the long-term survival rate is lower and the recurrence rate is higher. In order to prolong the survival time of patients as much as possible and reduce the recurrence rate of the disease, besides early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment, bladder cancer patients also need to keep a good mindset, under the guidance of professional doctors, have regular follow-up examinations for a long period of time, and have to be diagnosed and treated in time once they find out any new conditions.
