What is the typical survival period for poorly differentiated gastric cancer?

Generally speaking, the survival period of poorly differentiated gastric cancer is around 3~5 years, which is the average life expectancy of most patients with poorly differentiated gastric cancer, but there is a big individual difference, and some patients even survive for more than 10 years, which depends on the stage of gastric cancer, the treatment situation, the physical condition and other factors.
The general survival period usually refers to the five-year survival period, which means that if the patient does not relapse within five years, he/she can survive for a long time, and the five-year survival rate is the probability that the patient will not relapse in five years.
The difficulty factor of surgery for early stage of poorly differentiated gastric cancer is not too big, and it can be cured by surgical resection, and the five-year survival rate can basically reach 80% after the surgery.
Intermediate stage gastric low differentiated cancer patients are usually treated with surgery plus chemotherapy. Through effective surgical treatment and combined with chemotherapy, targeted therapy or immunotherapy after surgery, the five-year survival rate of patients can reach 50%.
The survival rate of advanced stage patients is significantly lower due to the influence of factors such as lesion metastasis and cancer cell spread.
Hypofractionated gastric cancer has rapid onset, early metastasis, high malignancy and poor prognosis, but as long as it is detected and treated early, the survival period is still relatively long, so it is recommended that the patients should take regular treatment as early as possible.
