Treatment of tenosynovitis

Tenosynovitis is a sterile inflammation that occurs in the tendon sheath area and is mainly treated by NSAIDs, physical factors, and minimally invasive surgery.
For mild tendovaginitis, medication can be considered for relief, such as taking NSAIDs, which have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects to promote recovery, such as meloxicam or celecoxib.
If tenosynovitis triggers localized pain and swelling symptoms that last for a longer period of time, it can be treated with physical factors along with medication. For example, early ultrashort wave has an anti-inflammatory effect, and later combined with magnetic heat therapy to promote the dissipation of inflammation.
Some of the more serious cases of tenosynovitis may lead to local soft tissue adhesion, affecting the sliding of tendons, thus producing symptoms of limited joint movement. Surgical treatment, such as minimally invasive surgery, is needed to loosen the local adhesions and relieve the symptoms.
If there are obvious pain and swelling in the tendon area, it cannot be ruled out that it is related to tenosynovitis, and it is necessary to go to the orthopedic department as soon as possible, and carry out standardized treatment under the guidance of professional physicians.
