Endocrine therapy can be used when breast cancer immunohistochemistry results are positive for estrogen receptor (ER) or progesterone receptor (PR); targeted drugs can be applied when human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (Her-2) is positive; and the higher the expression of other indexes such as Ki-67, the worse the prognosis is. Positive ER or PR means that the endocrine treatment is efficient and the prognosis is better; Her-2 result is (++++) can apply targeted drugs, if it is negative or (+) can not use targeted drugs, the result is (++), but also need to do further FISH gene test, if it is FISH-positive can be used to treat with targeted drugs. Other indicators, such as Ki-67, reflect the proliferation of tumor cells, which is related to tumor development, infiltration, implantation and metastasis. a high rate of Ki-67 positive expression indicates that the more proliferative activity of the tumor, the higher the degree of malignancy, and the poor prognosis. If ER, PR and Her-2 are negative, it is called triple-negative breast cancer, which has the highest degree of malignancy, high chance of recurrence and metastasis, and is difficult to treat. Breast cancer patients should adopt individualized comprehensive treatment plan, for different immunohistochemistry results, adopt different treatment plans, if there is any discomfort, timely consult the doctor and follow the doctor’s instructions.
