Five steps to resuscitate cardiac arrest!

In China, one person dies suddenly every minute due to sudden cardiac arrest. Although sudden cardiac death is fierce, it is possible for ordinary people to save a life if they can master basic first aid knowledge. Here we will learn about the five-step method to save sudden cardiac arrest. Step 1 Once a sudden death patient is found, the first witness should call out for help to find a helper or professional ambulance personnel, and call “120” immediately. Step 2 Open the patient’s airway within 10 seconds. Place the patient on a solid, flat surface on his back, remove the top button and tie, remove the foreign body from the nose and mouth, kneel beside the patient, place the left hand against the patient’s forehead and the right hand against the patient’s chin so that the patient’s chin is facing the sky as much as possible to open the patient’s airway. The third step is to carry out mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration. Pinch the patient’s nose, wrap your mouth completely around the patient’s mouth and blow lightly for more than one second each time, with a pause of 3 to 4 seconds between breaths, and release your fingers when you pause. Step 4 Perform chest compressions on the patient. Find the location of the patient’s heart, overlap the palm roots of both hands, interlock the fingers, and apply even pressure vertically downward with the force of the whole body, so that the patient’s sternum sinks about 4 cm, and press 30 times continuously (time is about 20 seconds). Step 5 Artificial respiration and compressions should be repeated alternately until medical personnel arrive on the scene or until the patient’s respiratory heartbeat is restored. For every minute that a cardiac arrest patient is delayed in resuscitation, the success rate of resuscitation decreases by 10%; more than 6 minutes will cause serious injury, and even if awakened, the patient will become a vegetable; and after 10 minutes, the patient is basically hopeless. Everyone can be a lifesaver for sudden cardiac death patients if they can learn the following five simple steps
