It can be used for the treatment of gastroduodenal ulcer, gastritis, esophagitis or non-ulcer dyspepsia, as well as for the treatment of stomach pain, heartburn and bloating caused by stomach acid, and for the prevention of drug-induced damage to the gastric mucosa. Daxil is best used 1-2 hours before meals or at bedtime, or you can chew one tablet temporarily when your stomach is not feeling well. Daxil is a chewable tablet and should always be chewed and then swallowed with warm water. When used for the treatment of gastroduodenal ulcers, the medication should be continued for at least 4 weeks after the symptoms have subsided. The most important side effect of the medication is that constipation may occur, as well as side effects such as loose stools, dry mouth or loss of appetite, which are relatively mild and can be relieved on their own.
