Girls with bumps in the armpits may be caused by folliculitis, sebaceous epidermal cysts with infection, enlarged lymph nodes and other diseases.
1. Folliculitis: Folliculitis is an inflammatory disease caused by infection of hair follicles and their surrounding tissues with bacteria, fungi and other pathogenic bacteria, manifesting itself as scattered distribution of inflammatory papules, pustules and so on, and therefore can appear in the armpit “pimples”.
2. Sebaceous cyst with infection: the disease is a cystic swelling formed when sebaceous glands in the skin are blocked and sebum is not excreted; if the local sebaceous cyst in the armpit is infected with bacterial infection, it can be manifested as a round pustule or abscess protruding from the surface of the skin in the shape of a hemisphere, and it will manifest as a “pimple”.
3. Enlarged lymph nodes: Because of the richness of the lymph nodes in the armpits, when there is mastitis, breast tumors and other diseases, the lymphatic reflux to the armpits leads to enlarged lymph nodes, which can be touched in the armpits with “bumps”.
It is recommended that girls with armpit lumps go to the hospital in time, after a clear diagnosis, under the guidance of the doctor for standardized treatment.
